Our mission
Legacy social media platforms are increasingly capitulating to pressure from right-wing politics, and are becoming increasingly unsafe for members of marginalized groups.
Though we are a tiny early-stage startup, we are aggressively moving toward becoming the best social media platform: the best place to be, with the best trust and safety protecting our users, and the best technology platform capable of far more than our legacy competitors.
We are unlikely to become the largest social media platform. This isn't our goal. We are interested in the 10 - 20% of users who have been disenfranchised by existing platforms; the legacy platforms are welcome to keep the rest.
Meet the team
Founded by an ex-NASA, ex-Google engineer.
Euravox was founded by Dr. Sarah Thompson, who has decades of experience building large scale systems.
Sarah has built spacecraft instruments that have flown around the moon. At Google, she worked in security and privacy, data governance, YouTube trust and safety and Google Cloud. She holds an M.Sc in Software Engineering from the University of Teesside, and a PhD in CS/EE from the University of Cambridge, which specialised in radiation effects on spacecraft electronics.
Sarah is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and consequently Euravox is something she has a direct need to see succeed. She is personally responsible for the Euravox architecture and the majority of the code, as well as running the company.
